An activa Account is the new way to separate your health spending from other forms of spending. This is a smart idea because it ensures the money you need to take care of yourself doesn't get gobbled up by other areas of your life. It also allows you to save for specific health and fitness events – anything from laser eye surgery to new camping equipment.
Facts about the activa Account
| • |
You earn interest on your money. |
| • |
Your activa Account can have an optional overdraft facility. It's very handy if an unexpected health expense comes along. |
| • |
There are no transactions fees, just a monthly fee of $7.50. This fee includes up to two activa cards, which are used like EFTPOS cards to pay for health-related products and services. |
| • |
You can choose the amount you'd like to pay into your activa Account each month (minimums apply). This amount is determined by how much you usually spend on health-related things, plus however much you'd like to save for your future health needs. You probably don't keep a running total of how much you spend on health and wellbeing each month, so you can use the online activa calculator to work it out. |
