How do I join activa?
You can apply to become an activa member by using the 'Apply to join activa' link on the 'What is activa?' pages and completing the activa calculator and application process. This only takes about 15 minutes. You can also apply to join by calling us on 0800 228 482.

Can I apply to join online?
Yes, we have an online joining facility. Simply use the 'Apply to join now' link on the “What is activa?' pages. After you've applied online, you'll be contacted by an activa representative who will take you through the next steps.

What information do I need to have ready when I apply?
To open an activa Account you will need your personal details and enough information to positively identify you. If you're applying for the optional overdraft (subject to lending criteria), then we'll need information to confirm your credit-worthiness. If you require additional activa cards, we will need the personal details of the proposed cardholders and we may also need to positively identify them.

How long does the joining process take?
Your activa Account application should take around five days to process. Once you have been accepted and you've activated your PIN, you should receive your card within four days.

Do I have to be a New Zealand resident to get activa?
To open an activa Account you must be resident in New Zealand (i.e. you must have a permanent NZ address).
